Description
Characteristics
Alpha Acid: 15%-17%. Jarrylo (pronounced Yar-ril-low), is not your typical in-your-face, I hang out with the cool kids IPA Hop, - or it wasn't created with that in mind. You will find banana, orange, pear, and fruity spice aroma that will blend perfectly with Pale Ales, IPA's, Saisons, Belgians. Farmhouse Ales, or even an unusual twist on a Pilsner. Simple crisp beers are great way to showcase this special hop.
Created in Yakima Valley, Washington by Roy Farms it is also known as experimental hop ADHA881. It is a dual-purpose hop used for aroma and flavor. Named after the Slavic God of Fertility, (Jar or Yar means Spring). He is ususaly described as a barefoot young man (or sometimes a girl), in a white robe, white horse, with a wreath (hops?) on his head. Try it with a White IPA!
Nomenclature: The Russian pronunciation is Yar-i-lo with the emphasis on the letter "I".
